Buidling on a Valuable Resource
Finding a job can be hard, and even more challenging for the mature worker. We believe that older workers provide a valuable resource to the needs of a 21st century workforce. The competition for jobs is intense so people who have resumes that stand out in quality and appearance and people who interview well have an advantage when seeking work. The Area Agency on Aging offeres Job Club Workshops that provide help and practice in topics such as resume writing, networking, electronic applications, and interviewing skills. If you are preparing to re-enter the workforce, these workshops are for you. The workshops are free workshops and open to anyone but focus especially on low-income seniors (age 50+) and adults with disabilities in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties. CLICK HERE for more information or call 800-654-2810.
