The Region IV AAA provides state and federal funding for Community-based services through an open and competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process every three years.  All potential contractors are given the opportuntiy to submit a proposal to provide one or more defined fundable services and must be able to comply with the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging (OSA) Operating Standards for Service Programs.

Request for proposals are issued every three years based on an approved Multi-Year Plan; funding can vary from year to year based on availability of state and federal dollars.  Categories currently being funded are Health Promotion/Disease Prevention, Legal Aid, Transportation, Home Delivered Meals, Congregate Meals, Caregiver Education, and Adult Day Care.

Region IV AAA looks for innovative proposals to proivde Older Americans Act services to older adults within Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren county.  The proposals must be specific, measurable, and community based.
Contract recommendations for the FY2017-2019 Multi Year Plan by the Advisory Council have been reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors.
