Older adults possess wisdom, stability, life experience and valuable skills they've gained in the course of their lives. Through Senior Volunteer Programs, elders receive training, staff support and opportunities to use their talents through service to their communities.

Foster Grandparent Program: Seniors over age 60 who meet income eligibility requirements* serve 20 hours each week in schools, hospitals, learning centers, emergency shelters and detention centers providing care for children in need of one-on-one attention.

Senior Companion Program: Seniors over age 60 who meet income eligibility requirements* serve 20 hours each week in private homes, assisted living centers, nursing homes and adult day care facilities providing friendship and help to other seniors in need of assistance.

Family Friends: Seniors over age 55 assist parents in need of extra support, such as teen moms, grandparent and relative caregivers and families with special needs children.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Relatives as Parents Program: Senior Volunteer Programs provides support to relative caregivers. Services include monthly support groups, family events, an informational newsletter and respite care.
